Adult Choir

Comments: The Chancel Choir is a group of volunteers dedicated to presenting Christ’s message in song. The ages of the choir members range from teenage to senior adult. There is no audition required to be in the choir. All members receive basic music instruction during practice. A variety of sacred literature is learned ranging from Contemporary Christian to Gospel.

Praise Team

Comments: Tthe Praise Team plays and sings contemporary Christian music during the service and provides a different approach to worship music.

Ladies Ensemble Contact Person: David East Age of Participation: Adult Meeting Place: Sanctuary Date/Time: Sunday 7:30 P.M. after Choir practice
Comment: All the women in the Chancel Choir may participate in the Ladies Ensemble. Emphasis on three part harmony is taught with different styles of music covered. The Ladies Ensemble can expect to sing two or three times a year at church services.

Men’s Quartet

Comments: The Men’s Quartet is selected from the men singers in the Chancel Choir. They sing four to six times a year for the traditional worship service. They have also sung at several civic clubs over the past few years.

Mixed Ensemble
Contact Person: David East Age of Participation: Adult Meeting Place: Sanctuary Date/Time: 7:30 P.M. Sunday after Choir practice
Comments: The members are chosen from the Chancel Choir to make up a small ensemble using soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices. A different style of music ranging from gospel to contemporary Christian is learned. The Mixed Ensemble can expect to sing at least six times a year at church and at special services.

Adult Hand Bells Contact Person: Susan Gillentine Age of Participation: Mixture of Adults Meeting Place: Third Floor Date/Time: Sunday Nights
Comments: This is a very talented group of ladies. Not only do they play the hand bells, they also read music. The group performs three or four times a year and the music adds so much to the church service. The group practices about eight weeks before they perform.
